The project, named Variable-frequency Soft Starting Project for Blast Furnace Blower of 32000kW/10kV Synchronous Motor was for post-disaster reconstruction in Shaanxi, and the owner was Hanzhong Iron & Steel Group Company Ltd. under Shaanxi Steel Group. In the blast furnace blower system, there were 32000kW synchronous motors provided by GE and 27000kW synchronous motors provided by a domestic motor supplier. The variable-frequency drives realized variable-frequency soft starting functions of the two motors respectively in an one-drive-two manner.
